My connection to Italy started long before I ever worked in travel. I studied Italian as a teenager in Romania at Liceo Dante Alighieri, a dual Italian – Romanian high school. That’s where everything began. Not just learning the language, but understanding how different the culture is when you actually take the time to study it properly.
Years later, after moving to the United States, I decided to go deeper and pursued Italian Studies at Florida Atlantic University. Over time, I’ve spent close to seven years studying the language, the culture, and how Italy functions beyond what most people see on the surface.
During that time, I worked on translations, from newspaper articles to poems and documentaries. I was involved in projects connected to the Italian Embassy in Miami, I became a member of the Gamma Kappa Alpha Italian Honor Society, and collaborated on an article that was published in a Venetian newspaper. Everything I did kept building on the same foundation, understanding Italy in a way that goes beyond just visiting it.
I’ve been traveling to Italy for years now. Like most people, I often land in the major cities, but I always make it a point to explore beyond them and see different regions whenever I can. That contrast is what really shaped how I see the country.
What matters to me is not just where you go, but how everything fits together. Italy is not a one size fits all destination. The way you move through it, the regions you choose, and how you structure a trip can completely change the experience.
That’s also what led me to start working with clients, mostly luxury travelers, building full itineraries from start to finish. Not based on templates, but based on understanding what actually works.
At some point, I realized that many advisors were trying to plan Italy the same way they plan other destinations, and it just doesn’t work like that. There wasn’t one place where everything was brought together in a clear, structured way.
That’s why I created Italy Pro Network.
It’s something I built from the ground up, based on how I personally understand and approach Italy. I wanted it to be a place where advisors can find what they actually need, without having to piece things together from ten different sources.
It’s also not something static. I’m constantly adding to it, refining it, and expanding it as I go. More cities, more suppliers, more visuals, more tools, whatever I feel is missing or needs to be improved.
At the end of the day, this is something I care deeply about. It’s not just a project, it’s something I’ve put a lot of time, thought, and intention into.
